【明报专讯】港铁东铁线过海段通车后，昨为首个上班日，早上繁忙时段运作顺畅。本报记者昨偕两名上班族实测，分别从大埔墟及沙田第一城上车过海，单计乘车时间均较「旧路线」快四成，计及新车站步行往工作地点的时间后，则快8至16分钟。二人表示考虑到舒适度等因素后，日后未必会转搭东铁线上班；亦有新界居民认为，一程铁路过海可节省10分钟，于早上繁忙时段而言非常珍贵。 …
