【明報專訊】大埔宏福苑火災發生前，有居民向房屋局獨立審查組（Independent Checking Unit，簡稱ICU）反映棚網與工程安全問題，獲回覆已巡查及指示檢驗，惟災後不少人誤以為屋宇署負責。據房屋局回覆及記者翻查財政預算案開支總目，由審查組處理的市民舉報個案（包括僭建和失修樓宇）趨升，由2018年1299宗增約65%至2025年12月中2145宗，但有關指標主要涵蓋僭建及失修樓宇，未再細分接獲維修工程舉報後的巡查個案。有議員建議針對工程規管，加入突擊巡查的績效指標（KPI），亦有房委會委員建議加強宣傳審查組的工作範疇。…
