四川在线记者薛剑2022赛季中国足球甲级联赛6月8日在大连、南京、唐山三个赛区同时拉开帷幕。在冬歇期引进了19名球员以及更换了主教练的四川九牛在首场比赛中，凭借王楚、宋琛的进球，2：0击败新疆天山雪豹，取得赛季开门红。从球队现有实力来看，四川九牛本赛季的实力只增不减。不过大规模换血必然要带来阵容的重新磨合，尤其是球队多个核心球员离开，技战术体系要推倒重来，而在主教练洛贝拉因为签证原因迟迟未到位的情况下，四川九牛在整个赛季备战期都一直通过视频连线的方式，在洛贝拉的带领下进行着训练，这也让四川九牛的训练质量和效果大打折扣。不过幸运的是，本赛季中甲联赛第一阶段，四川九牛将前往大连赛区征战，同组对手包括上海嘉定汇龙、黑龙江冰城、北京北体大、辽宁沉阳城市、新疆天山雪豹。四川九牛在新赛季的第一个对手是新疆天山雪豹，他们4年之内3次降级都递补回到了中甲，本赛季，球队的目标也是保级。因此比赛开始之后，四川九牛便很快占据主动，老将王楚在第31分钟率先打破场上僵局，宋琛在第80分钟的进球，帮助四川九牛锁定了最终的胜局。
