雅典預計將於2030年主辦首屆世界田徑馬拉松錦標賽。 <\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\t\t世界田徑協會宣布，馬拉松及其他任何長距離公路跑形式將不再屬於世界田徑錦標賽，取而代之的是2030年成立一個獨立錦標賽，稱為 世界田徑馬拉松錦標賽，男女選手輪流參加。<\/p>\n

2027年（北京）和2029年世界田徑錦標賽將是最後一次將馬拉松納入賽程。2030年，首屆世界田徑馬拉松錦標賽將舉行，預計將在雅典舉行，雅典是這項項目創立於超過2500年前的地方，標誌著該賽事的首屆。世界田徑公路跑錦標賽將繼續作為獨立的年度賽事舉行。<\/p>\n

世界田徑主席塞巴斯蒂安·科伊解釋，這項改變是為了「打造一個專屬的全球馬拉松慶典」，他很高興能在一個「尊重馬拉松傳承，同時塑造一個反映全球跑步社群規模與精神的現代錦標賽」的環境中舉辦。<\/p>\n
