Witchbrook 花了相當長的時間才問世，因為這個獨立遊戲自 2019 年起就已全面開發。對於像Chucklefish這樣知名工作室製作的獨立作品來說，這其實是前所未聞的領域，但這背後有其合理原因。<\/p>\n

Chucklefish 營運長 Donna Orlowski 在接受 Knowledge 採訪時表示，延遲的原因以及 Witchbrook 之所以花了這麼久才成真，是因為開發方向的改變。當這款遊戲向全世界展示時，許多人稱它為 「哈利波特遇上星露谷物語」，但開發團隊對此並不感到非常自在。他們想呈現更獨特的東西。<\/p>\n

「當我們在2019年全力投入這個專案時，決定稍微把焦點從那些一直說『這是哈利波特遇上星露谷物語』的人，轉向做一些更獨特的作品。這就是延遲的原因。我們對目前的發展非常滿意。我們的重點放在模擬上，因此我們希望人們一旦踏入這個世界，就永遠不會想離開。」<\/p>\n

我們仍然不知道 Witchbrook 何時會正式登場，因為遊戲只附上了 2026 年的發行時間窗口。Orlowski 也提到了預期中的上市，指出開發者並沒有特別考慮這件事， 因為「這是一門生意，是市場，你隔天可能會徹底失敗。」<\/p>\n
