Avalanche 首席創意長兼共同創辦人 Christofer Sundberg 在接受 PC Gamer 採訪時表示，瑞典工作室在 2000 年代末期開發的奇幻遊戲《AionGuard ，將會和《Crimson Desert》一模一樣。 「正是如此。我玩《Crimson Desert》不夠多，但我們把《Crimson Desert》裡看到的一切都包含在那款遊戲的計畫裡，」 他說。<\/p>\n

聽起來這款遊戲會像是奇幻版的《正義防衛》。你會被丟進一個需要奪回或拯救的世界，並且可以隨心所欲地摧毀和佔領敵方基地。然而，該計畫未能實現，因為當時的出版社退出了。<\/p>\n

「這張專輯簽給了一家擁有許多知名知識產權的大出版社。然後他們又改變了經營方向，想專注於現有的知識產權，而不是新的知識產權。他們用簡訊和我們分手了，我永遠不會原諒他們，」 桑德伯格說。<\/p>\n
