【明報專訊】學生人口下降，教育局提出兩項措施加速整合中學。教育局去年推出試行計劃，容許5間中學明年中一班數「4變5」。局方昨日更新「中學規劃未來路向優化方案」，稱經仔細檢視有關情况後，決定延長「4變5」計劃至2029年度，每年名額5個。另外，局方又推動收生不足的中學合併，容許合併後繼續營辦中一的學校，在首3個學年倘首次未能開辦兩班，可豁免申請停辦等發展方案一次，並會提供額外資源。有中學校長質疑此刻延長「4變5」計劃或過於倉卒，亦與應對學齡人口下降「背道而馳」。…
