在那個截止日期之後，植入寵物的新晶片必須包含強制代碼。不過，現有晶片仍會有效。事實上，文件解釋說，只要該硬體仍符合識別標準，且在此日期前已植入晶片的寵物，則不需要重新植入。<\/p>\n
