續集劇本名為《迷失斯卡拉迪斯》，將帶我們進入蘇利與麥克·瓦佐斯基未來的生活。
\n\t\t 《怪獸大學》是皮克斯首次回到過去拍攝續集。前傳通常不是他們的菜，最初有個想法是Monsters, Inc. 想做一個後續故事，聚焦原作事件之後發生的事情。這個想法後來寫成了完整的劇本，編劇鮑勃·希爾根伯格和羅伯·繆爾就叫做《迷失在斯卡拉迪斯》。<\/p>\n

根據 《The Wrap》報導，《怪獸電力公司：迷失斯卡拉迪斯》會讓麥克和蘇利的生活更進一步。麥克要結婚了，蘇利在工作上升職了。劇本中甚至還有布回歸，飾演年紀較大的孩子。希爾根伯格和繆爾都仍然支持這個劇本，並希望有一天能看到它被拍成完整電影。<\/p>\n

「我們堅持這個劇本，我們非常自豪。寫劇本時，一切都在水到渠成。這是一份充滿熱愛的心血結晶，我們對此充滿熱情。我們想確保堅持使用皮克斯這個品牌。我們的目標是，當有人讀到劇本時，不確定我們是否受到皮克斯的影響，」 繆爾說。<\/p>\n

距離我們上次看到怪獸嚇小孩的世界登上大銀幕已經過了13年，雖然皮克斯目前似乎主要聚焦於《玩具總動員》作為其最大系列，但總有機會用更多對老動畫經典的懷舊情懷，吸引觀眾重返電影院。<\/p>\n
