国际著名学术期刊《自然》最新发表一篇病毒学研究论文称，研究人员开发出两种新的脊髓灰质炎候选疫苗，可诱导小鼠免疫反应，增加根除脊髓灰质炎的可能性。这两种候选疫苗基于脊灰病毒的较弱版本，相较过去的一些疫苗而言，更不容易产生疫苗衍生的强力脊髓灰质炎病毒变种。 该论文介绍，脊髓灰质炎是由脊灰病毒的三个版本(血清型)所致。野生的脊灰病毒(WPV)2型和3型在过去十年里已经被消灭，这得益于疫苗的进展，这些疫苗为失活版本或减毒的病毒(这些版本经过充分减弱，不会导致疾病，但仍会引起免疫反应)。不过，WPV1型仍在一些亚洲国家导致疾病，而由疫苗中的病毒演化为毒性形式所产生的另外两种类型的脊灰病毒也还在继续流行。 近期开发的新口服2型脊髓灰质炎疫苗(nOPV2)使用一种证明能有效引起免疫反应的减毒活病毒，同时能保持遗传上的稳定，并被用于对抗疫苗衍生的脊灰病毒变体。这种稳定性归功于其纳入了特定遗传成分，限制了病毒重获毒力。 基于这种方法，论文共同通讯作者、美国加利福尼亚大学旧金山分校Raul Andino和英国国家生物标准与控制研究所Andrew Macadam与同事及合作者开发出WPV1型和3型疫苗(分别为nOPV1和nOPV3)。动物实验和深度测序证实，这些候选疫苗即使接种后发生了小的变异，仍能保持减毒。 他们还报告说，nOPV1、nOPV2和nOPV3被证明在小鼠中相当安全。在小鼠中联合注射nOPV1、nOPV2和nOPV3产生了对所有三种脊灰病毒的抗体，小鼠得到保护，免受疾病影响。 （文章来源：中国新闻网）
